Located in a small countryside village, we found the location perfect for exploring the wider area, though it is remote from shops & restaurants so you must plan accordingly. "Great location next to the fortress, excellent friendly staff, nice sized comfortable room and bed. Only complaint is there was not even a drawer to unpack any of your luggage. We are literally living out of our suitcases as there was nowhere to put stuff. Other than that we still highly recommend. "

"First of all, my husband & I fell in love with Carcassonne, this hotel, and the staff (Jean, Stephen and Tiffany) who were friendly and helpful. We were excited to be staying inside the castle walls. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and facing the castle walls. The inside of the hotel had an Old World feeling, warm, and decorated for Christmas. In short, it was lovely! We took a taxi from the train station. The driver said it was forbidden for him to enter the city walls so he dropped us...
