Very safe, clean, and convenient place to stay. Our entire group enjoyed our stay; we would absolutely stay here again. My only suggestion for guests would be to learn how to use bidet because they run low on TP. 😂

Very small space, very small! But ok for a couple of nights in the heart of Florence for one person. I didn’t like that check in was on 4th floor - nothing stopping anyone from coming in. And a lot of people stopping in entrance when it rained. Check in and staff were always friendly. Itty bitty lift but it did the job. You are going to hear the noise (the church bells!) but that’s part of being in Firenze! Great location close to all of the highlights plus restaurants and a great gelato place across the alley.

Great location, great view from room. Great view from rooftop bar, a little expensive for drinks up there. Decent breakfast you can eat on the rooftop in the morning. Friendly staff, good price for the area. Nothing fancy it’s old but nice.

The best view of il duomo form their terrace in all of Florence-simply unbeatable. Staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. My reservation came with breakfast included and not your typical continental breakfast- not just toast or a croissant and coffee. Eggs, fruit, juices, espresso machine,cold cuts, cereal, toast, croissants, yoghurt. -wonderful breakfast and a great way to start the day. Staff got me a taxi service to the airport after my check out.

One-night stay
The hotel is definitely recommended for budget travelers. I had a pleasant stay but the room and bathroom were on the smaller side. Although typical of European budget hotels. Staff was very accommodating and I didn’t have any problems.

I loved my stay at Hotel Villani. It is so well located, right in the central of Firenze, and the terrace is just incredible. Basic rooms but comfortable and the breakfast spread is very generous.

Location is amazing. Right next to the cathedral. You can literally see it out of the room. The terrace is another added bonus. You can see a beautiful view of the city from the terrace. I had some small issues with the shower water pressure and temperature but something which I won't use to dock a star because the location makes up for such an issue.

Perfect location. Rooftop balcony is stunning. Only feedback, it’s hard to find. Take a picture of the outside, to remind yourself. It’s inside with another hotel. So there not great signing outside. The view from our room was breathtaking. Oh one more thing, the Domo bell rings every hour on the hour starting at 7 AM. Since this hotel is so perfectly positions near the Domo. You’ll get to experience that bell like it’s in your front yard. So don’t plan on sleeping in…

This hotel is centrally located and in walking distance to all the museums, Ponte Vecchio, the Academy, and the high end shopping streets. Our room was ok except for the bathroom which was quite small with a tiny shower on a raised platform which was almost unusable. The breakfast was acceptable. The hotel is located on the 4th floor of the building but it has a small elevator which greatly helped us. The wifi worked very well. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with a indoor bar and outdoor tables and chairs with an amazing view of Florence! We would stay here again if the bathroom was a bit bigger and more modern.

The location of this place is perfect. Room 41 has an amazing painting on the ceiling and looks right at the cathedral and tower.

The property should not have been called a hotel, it was more of a B&B or motel. it was tough to get a hold of the property via messenger. Staff was helpful once we arrived. The wifi was spotty, bathroom outdated & shower curtain rubbed up against the toilet which also allowed water to easily flood the bathroom. Also, "panoramic view" was a bit of a stretch. Not exactly what we were expecting for how good the ratings were.

Great area , walking distance to all the attractions, clean , quiet, but a tarnish hotel that it is just one star , 2 days in the row breakfast was NOT !!!!, like in Cuba they finish few things that they have , not even cups for coffee, in rest was just minimal and poor , definitely not recommend this hotel , Elena the cleaning lady , was running and trying to help and resolve the problems!!!!

Very close to the Duomo and walking distance to main attractions. There is a terrace with a spectacular view of the Duomo and Battistero. The hotel is in a 4th floor. Owner Nicolas is charming and the staff of Lorenzo, Alessandro, Hernan, Denis and Ofelia are very helpful and friendly.

Wrong information in the expedia app. According to the app, check in is at 11:30 am and check out is at 11:00 am. The real check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 10:30 am. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. Nice rooftop view.

This was the perfect hotel to stay at in Florence Italy. From the staff being very nice and helpful to them even knowing English since I only spoke English as a tourist there. They had wonderful breakfast options to the best coffee in town. My room was very clean and spacious my view was amazing. The staff were kind and helpful they made sure my room was cleaned everyday. The hotel is within walking distance of the dome and the church. There were restaurants within walking distance to stores and shops. Had such a wonderful time. It was the best hotel will definitely be going back there again for my next visit.

Amazing views
We had an amazing 2 night stay in Hotel Villani. The panoramic room was worth every penny and the view from the roof terrace was also stunning. The staff were friendly and we found the breakfast perfect for our needs (important to bear in mind this is a small hotel so breakfast won’t be massive). Walking distance to all of the main attractions in Florence.

Fantastic location. Just a few steps from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and close to everything else of touristy interest in Florence. Gelato right out the front door. Was easy to head back to the room anytime I needed to use the restroom. (Finding restrooms in Italy can be a challenge.) Breakfast was simple, meat/cheese/yogurt/pastry/cereal, but worked for me. Fabulous view of the dome from the rooftop terrace. Bed was comfortable. Place was clean. However, the building/facilities are old. Old school metal keys. It is not fancy. Glad I brought shower shoes. The initial impression was disappointing, but having experienced it I would stay there again if going to Florence based on location and cleanliness.

The property is very conveniently located close to Duomo. While staff at the reception were very friendly and professional, room amenities (except towels) were not replenished during three night stays and the room looked much worn down than the pictures. I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Perfectly located small welcoming hotel
Great value of a hotel! The location could not be better. Our room was fairly spacious with a view of the Duomo. The staff at the reception was very helpful except for one person part of the night shift who didn’t seem to speak English and was not very competent. Arion was great as well as another female employee whom I cannot recall the name. Breakfast was good with a small variety of choices. The hotel even contacted us via email to find out our expected arrival time. I highly recommend staying there.

I booked this place for the view and the location and it could not have been better. The roof top terrace and our panoramic view room were right under the massive gaze of the Duomo. There is a fantastic wine bar and bottle shop next door and probably 3 dozen restaurants with the same block. I couldn't think of a better location. That said, the hotel itself could be improved on. My mattress in one of the more "premium" rooms felt like was coils covered in a bed sheet. Our shower door profusely leaked everywhere. Like when we were down showering, we had to use all the towels to mop up the floor. The "bar" at the terrace is only a physical bar. No booze, no bartender. Just a counter. But they will sell you a beer at the front desk or just bring your own from one of the shops downstairs. Breakfast was a decent continental breakfast for a fair price. Staff was nice and helpful but their scheduling can be a bit uh, unique. Oh and if you book the panoramic view, be mindful of the bells after a fun night out. Because they are LOUD and start at 7 am and every 30 minutes there after. In all, this place is a minor investment away from being a 5 star hidden gem. Get some new mattresses and a plumber and I'll be back

This hotel is in an awesome location with a magnificent rooftop. Essentially one turn and you’re at the duomo! But it’s located in a quaint smaller side street so it’s quiet. The hotel is like a cozy European boutique runs by a new owner, Paolo and his family. So you feel like you’re a guest in an Italian residence. We got the breakfast with our room and it was perfect. The usual eggs, croissants, yogurt, juices…and the popular coffee machine that’ll serve whatever that you desire. I do what the Italian do and get a cute expresso or 2, or 3…and I’m ready to go. It’s 10min from all the major sites. But you’ll be walking around longer because of the gelato stops and other wonderful sites. Definitely recommended.

I had such a wonderful time in Florence and Hotel Villani that I actually extended my trip to stay longer, made possible by the super helpful staff! Unbeatable value for money, the location is incredible, 10 mins walk from the main train station, right next to the cathedral and everything else is in close walking distance. Incredibly clean room, nice breakfast and most of all really lovely, welcoming staff. The view from the terrace is beautiful, like I said; unbeatable value for money. I will definitely be back and will be recommending to anybody coming to Florence!
