"The hotel is great but when we were checking in, the reserved room was not available and I had to switch rooms. I specifically wanted to have the room with the view as I was staying only for one night in Shanghai. The staff was very nice trying to offer an upgraded room but without a view. However, it was a bit disappointing. I ended up paying more for another room with he river view and asked for two additional beds to put my kids to sleep as it was a just a King size bed room. First they said ok, and then they brought just one bed. So again, it was a bit disappointing and lack of communication. As it was just one night it was not super inconvenient. 3 of us had to sleep in one bed and we had an amazing view but overall impression was not so satisfying."

"Great location in French concession. Easy walking to shops and metro, bikes etc. Good restaurants in the area, recommend O'mills café and bakery for incredible breakfasts and coffee. Great hotel pool- byo cap and goggles or buy from them. Nice garden to relax in. Quiet area."

"5th visit here. Centre of town, by people’s sq and a 1.5 mile walk straight down pedestrian road to the bund. Tube which is really easy and cheap ($0.4 a ride) is here heading to both airports and many other destinations. Room was superb with supper comfortable bathroom and picture window overlook the city. Great"
