"The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!"

"The family atmosphere is wonderful. The staff are the owners and they really make you feel welcome. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed, the pool area was small but very comfortable, and the son of the owners is so helpful. He gave us excellent advice. It’s about a 15 minute drive up from or down to Pinhao but the drive itself is spectacular. I highly recommend this place."

Wayfinding about the hotel was strange and difficult, though our suite was spacious and the staff extremely friendly. "If traveling by car, this is a splendid place to stay in the Duro Valley. Staff and room were very nice. A wonderful breakfast was included, which seems to be a vanishing practice in Europe these days. The hotel offers diner (not included) as well. The town of Tabuaco is quite small so dining options near by are limited. We would stay there again."

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"
