"Location, setting & surroundings are excellent, peaceful, nested courtyard compound. The adjacent church bell, on the hour is ok, presenting some ambience in a very quiet location. "This is a wonderful gem! The old character was just what I hoped for and more! The grounds were relaxing, especially the orchard. The history book in the room was fun to read. Home cooked breakfast was top notch and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and at home, I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Bayeux again!"

Good to know: no elevator access to upper levels; stairs only. Not a big deal imho. Nice area! Great location; close to WWII historic sites. About a 15 minute drive to the American Military Cemetery, and about a 1.5 hour drive to Mont Saint Michel to the southwest and Le Havre area to the north east. I would stay here...
