"My stay at the Angel Hotel was lovely. My ONLY note is that the street is closed off everyday between 11am-6pm so getting dropped off right in front of the hotel with luggage is not possible. Also, there's no elevator, so if you have very heavy luggage like I did, you'll either need to lug it up a few flights of stairs or get help. My room was at the very back of the building and I had a glorious tub to soak in."

"The website for this hotel looked way nicer than the reality. The pillows and duvet smelled of stale sweat. The mattress was old, and the furniture of a low quality or damaged. The window frames were damaged, and the water pressure in the bathroom was weak. I had booked another stay here in coming weeks, but I have cancelled that based on this uncomfortable stay"

"Fantastic accomodation with nicely finished rooms. Food in the bar was excellent and staff were a credit to the business. Easy on site parking"

"We were sorry we didn’t have more time to stay here. It was so quiet and serene in a rural setting Our host was amazing! Went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property is perfectly located if you need to catch a plane the next day from Gatwick airport. With the kind help of our host, we caught a bus to the terminal we needed the next morning. We didn’t have a car so our host helped us get to a pub nearby. Highly recommend!"

"Stayed here for one night while on route to Gatwick airport. The place was clean, tidy and comfortable. It is easily accessible by public bus but the hotel does offer pick up and drop off service for an additional cost. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and there is a beautiful restaurant next to reception where you can grab a tasty Indian! Would recommend staying here and will come again the next time I fly out from Gatwick 😊"

"Only stayed one night, but we had a very nice sleep. The property is clean, bed very comfy and the room quite big"

"Very responsive host, room was spacious but a tad tired. Bed was small and heavy winter duvet on. Bathroom was tired but clean and functional"

"Very close to tube station. We had to be moved from the first room as the sofa bed was unusable. Second room was larger and the sofa bed was ok. Wouldn’t want the girls to have slept on if to more than a night or so.. the shower was’t the best but did the job for one shower. Pub was lovely with a great range of beers and the food was excellent. Staff were really helpful.and friendly."

"Good location near the train station. Friendly staff. Clean room with decent shower."
