"I chose a courtyard view but it’s actually a run down car park, to call it a courtyard is a huge stretch. The thing is I wouldn’t have expected very much from the property considering the price but when you think you are getting a courtyard then don’t you find yourself disappointed. However, the room was clean and that’s important to me regardless of the price. I couldn’t get the shower to work in my room, I just got scalding hot water. The staff were overall friendly, except when we arrived and parked in the ‘courtyard’ we went into the bar to say we had booked a room and the barman just growled at us and said ‘3 o’clock’ Now I know the check in time but normally when you arrive somewhere early they quickly find out if your room is ready and if so allow you to check in and if not they keep your luggage etc. all we really needed to find out was if it was ok to park in the ‘courtyard’ without checking in as there were signs stating only guests can park. Nobody knew at that time that our car did in fact belong to a guest. I found the barman rude and unhelpful. Also I had filled out the form stating our arrival time, why wasn’t a message conveyed on the portal to say strictly 3pm check in, however if you give us your number plate when you arrive early you can park"

Killiane Castle Country House & Farm

10/10 Excellent
"My stay at the Killiane Castle Country Home & Farm was delightful. The hosts could not have been more helpful as I navigated my say through a rental car snafus. The accommodations were comfortable, spotless and had every amenity needed for a comfortable stay. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. The breakfasts were 10 out of 10! Just WOW ... the hot dishes were cooked to order, the baked goods (scones) are baked on-site and the selections offered were plentiful. The location is convenient to Wexford centre while providing the serenity I often associated with the Irish countryside. Will definitely plan to stay again during my next Ireland visit."
