Looking across Candler Lake at Lullwater Park which is a pleasant area to walk around and which is adjacent to Emory University, Atlanta. The picture is looking East and there's a hint of the VA hospital just behind the tree at the left hand side of the picture. The lake is also a habitat for wildlife including migrating birds and apparently there are fish to be caught as well.
This building has a bit of a history. It was built in 1926 and was the former Emory University railway station for passengers and freight. The present name which is “Dooley’s Den ‘The Depot’” is a reference to the Spirit of Emory - do a Google search for information on Dooley - and the building presently serves coffee. For some time in the 70’s and into the ‘80s the building was actually the location of the Emory Credit Union.
