"We were warmly welcomed by Celso who did an amazing job everyday to make us feel right at home. We were provided with a beautiful suite that was clean and welcoming. The breakfast was just right with a good selection of goodies. The team provided gluten free options for my wife which was brilliant. The hot tub was the highlight and it was kept clean and maintained to a high standard. Celso and his team were incredible throughout our stay. We highly recommend staying at Bastio Private Suites. "

"Rooms are very clean and well equipped! The historic details were lovely! Host was exceptionally helpful! He recommended a couple of delicious restaurants. These restaurants weren’t tourist trap. They were full of mostly people who speak Italian. That’s the kind of place I like to go when I’m traveling. I always keep my translator handy. Each restaurant did have one person who could speak fluent English. "

"Great location. Room and bathroom were large and clean. Bring your own toiletries - toothpaste, etc. This is more of a bed and breakfast. Andrea was very helpful and friendly. Please keep in mind that there is no lift, and accessing rooms requires taking 2 sets of stairs. Andrea was helpful with our luggage when we arrived, but he was not there when we departed so we had to take luggage down ourselves. "Lovely guesthouse in the very centre of Catania, literally just a few steps away from via Etnea and many attractions. Check-in went smoothly even though we arrived late at night. The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. Comfortable bed and some nice decor touches in the room. We’d love to stay again in the future and we recommend this property!"

"The room was excellent. Directions made it very easy to find. The bed was super comfy. We were within walking distance of everything. I would highly recommend getting some sort of nonslip mats for the shower as it got very slippery with the soap. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!"

"Bedroom was small but comfortable with lovely fresh bedding. I especially appreciated the pillows, the best I’ve had in any hotel. Bathroom lovely with good shower. Breakfast is very good with a variety of offerings which change on different days. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We asked for a kettle and an extra pillow, nothing was too much trouble. "

"Oversized room with a jacuzzi, however, the system leaked and water seeped into adjacent room. No 24 hour staff, so, you need to be in communication. We left before staff arrived and left the key on the hook with other keys so no security beyond the cameras. The location was ideal as was the price."
