"I know it's an old hotel but this one is really outdated guests can see ripped carpets in the main hall way, flaked paint and the bathroom in our room had no handwash! The breakfast was really bad and tasteless the beans were like gloop, I'm surprised folk were eating it! When checking out I wasn't asked about my stay, the receptionist just took my keys and gave me a quick bye, which I felt was quite rude and lacked customer service/care. We stayed for 1 night which was ok as we were out most of the time but I wouldn't stay any longer than that, I personally would not stay here again which is a shame."

"The Breakfast was your typical buffet, It was Hot and Fresh. Everything was kept clean. The rooms are rather small but adequate. The shower was excellent. It is located close to the train station and the bus station. It was located close to everything , easy walking."

"I had to be booked in for 10.00 and the kitchen closed at 8.30 so had to go out and the bed was smelling of dampness and when I came back from eating out I had to phone for someone to let me in not ideal after driving almost 150 miles so I’m afraid I will not be using the Smithton hotel in the future the bar was also closed early so I couldn’t get a drink when I came from eating out."

"Amazing property in a beautiful neighborhood. Lovely grounds. Breakfast in the solarium was a perfect combination of serve yourself cereals, fruit, pastries and juice and order hot off the menu. Wonderful stay."

"Got to love it when a place outdoes its photos online, this is one of them. My room felt like a little suite and was just a regular double. Beautiful tub that I of course did not use. Easy walk to shops and restaurants and pleasant lovely staff."

"Nice hotel with very friendly helpful staff. We had a recently refurbished room which was good. The pool/ spa area seemed a little dated and in need of a freshen up."
