"Gorgeous little B&B run by the lovely Les. Everywhere was spotless and welcoming. Our room was spacious, comfy, very pretty and had everything we could need for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Felt like by the end of our stay that Les had become a friend and a confidante 😉 Definitely planning a return trip…"

"The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds"

"This accommodation about 15 to 20 minutes walk into the main town/ harbour. Taking longer if you want to avoid walking through a industrial area. However it was well lit and at no point felt unsafe. Lots of free parking. Very good sized rooms with all needed for a comfortable stay. I would have liked some more lights in the room. But didn't ask . "Staff were lovely. Room was small with very little wardrobe space but spotlessly clean. Village is very beautiful and quiet. Parking was difficult."

"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. "We chose it for the spa which was well looked after and in good quality. The room was very tired, soft furnishing were ok but paint and decor was very old as was the bathroom. Food at the linden was adequate but at London prices. We only ate there once."

"Excellent location and setting. Staff excellent. Steam room out of service in the spa. Room could have done with some tlc - eg crumbly walls around where curtain hooks and the tv cable have been put in. TV in the room didn’t work. No decaf tea bags so got charged £9.35 for two decafs in the sitting room."

"Only used the hotel for bed and breakfast. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The dining room was impressive and had some history attached to it. The service was responsive at breakfast and kindness and understanding shown to a nervous 6 year old. The free public parking at the rear of the hotel worked well and the proximity to the town and castle and gardens."
