"Beautiful hotel right next to the castle. Staff and amenities excellent."

"Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor. Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland. The 2nd day we had the English...

"Classic room bed could do with a topper. Pillows very soft. Didnt feel extractor fan working properly. Had a lot of difficulty shutting the window. Shower pressure not the best bit nice to have a decent sized walk in. Walls between rooms very thin. Generally everything was clean. Nice biscuits. Checkin out was great. Easy parking. Would have liked plug sockets next to the bed rather than behind Loved the lions book shop on site. Olympic room for breakfast was stunning but very cold first thing....

"Nice surprise as got croissants juice and biscuits in room. Room was adequate as above the bar. Nice friendly staff willing to help. Room could have been decorated to a better standard. "

"Nice large room, and quiet, although alongside A1. Bed and pillows a little too firm for my liking, and was woken at 1 am by a very noisy group of women thumping and talking loudly down the corridor - not comfortable enough to go back k to sleep again, but the noise was not the fault of the hotel. Generally a good place to stay, nice food and a decent breakfast."

"The Wizards Chambers is a lovely, unique, clean place to stay. If you are a Harry Potter fan it's a great place to stay. Parking is easy, a folder with all the information you require is at hand and you are right in the centre of beautiful Alnwick. However, we wish we were notified, about the building work next door, so we could decide if we stayed here or not. Work is permitted from 8-5 Mon-Fri and 8-1 on Saturday. "

"Easily the best accommodation of a four-day stay in Northumberland. Everything in the Whittling House makes your trip a little bit better, from lovely staff to beautiful decor, homemade shortbread for the rooms to the comfy armchairs in the bar. Definitely worth the more premium price!"

"Entrance to car park is very narrow if you have a big car. Front door closed at 10pm so would have to access from rear of property up steep stairs to fire exit and enter with fob. We were back by 9:45pm and we could not buy a drink as last orders had been called 🙁. But clean, comfortable room and central so would stay again for price."
