"We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay."

"Needs to be shown better on the listing that the inn is un manned with no bar or food service. Had a small issue that was very quickly sorted out. Most likely will use again."

"What a great place to stay in Nairn. Central to golf course and main shops, Big clean spacious room with a large bed, couch and all essentials. Big bathroom including a bathtub. Nice outlook outside. Superb hosts who cooked a great breakfast. Really enjoyed our time there"

"Building is in disarray, with things left all over the place. No one was at the front desk. Towels were not changed and our room was not refreshed for our second night. I planned to use my credit card but was told the machine wasn’t working and I had to pay cash, but wasn’t given a receipt. (I was finally emailed a receipt a day later, after I insisted on one.) I never did received the change from my cash payment. It was all quite strange."

"Rooms are all in upper floors 2nd or above, no elevator/lifts made it difficult for elders. The rooms are well maintained. Water pressure/hot water is an issue."

"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "The best B & B I’ve stayed in. The host Helen is absolutely lovely, and fixes an amazing breakfast. The room was charming, well decorated, and had amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. Tea, water and a couple snacks were also provided in the room. A wonderful place, I hope one day to return."
