There are plenty of vendors selling fair food but the Eastern States Expo are known for their Cream Puffs and Eclairs. Don't wait to get them, and risk filling up on Batter Fried Cheese Curds!

The Big E or Eastern States Exposition is held every fall in Springfield, Mass for 17 days. There is a gate fee to get in but the prices vary on the day so if your planning on going, you have the option to check for a cheaper day.
Even though the name of the fair is 'Eastern States', it features only the New England states: Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island. Each state has it's own building to promote activities, events and businesses, as well as food. The fair's main purpose is agriculture: animal showings/competitions, tractors, produce. However, there are plenty of vendors selling fair food and plenty of things to purchase as souvenirs and for your home. Also, there are plenty of amusement rides for kids and adults.
