The staff was really good, it felt like coming home to grandma’s house, as it is true to its name: Grandma’s house, where you are treated with kindness and love. The place has a family feeling. You can see the photos of the family in the main reception area. Maria and Javiera greeted us with warmth and explained the history of the house.

"The hotel is lovely. Set in beautiful gardens. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was the best we had had on our 4 week Brazil Argentina Chile and Easter Island. Wolfgang is friendly and kind. He makes sure to speak to everyone personally ally at breakfast. He is a mine of information about the island. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s perfect. X"

"Expectations for hotels on Easter Island are adjusted accordingly due to location. Rooms and furniture are dated, but clean and well maintained. There were a couple of mosquitoes in the room, which is understandable as the hallways doors to the outside are alway open for fresh air. After our first night, we kept the air conditioning at the desired temperature when we left for the day - instead of turning it up a few degrees. This helped reduce the mosquitoes upon our return.
