Dutch Wonderland

Dutch Wonderland
With plenty of thrill rides, attractions, shows and water activities, this award-winning amusement park is one of the best in the state.

Plan a day of fun on your visit to Dutch Wonderland. Brave the roller coasters and flying trapeze. Exploration Island and its dinosaur fossil dig will excite budding archaeologists in the family. On a hot Pennsylvania summer day, you’re likely to head to the water park to cool off. Designed with young children in mind, the park offers more than 35 rides, attractions and shows to delight the whole family.

Take a thrilling ride on the park’s first suspended roller coaster, Merlin’s Mayhem. Get splashed on the log flume, relax on a low-key train ride or drive the bumper cars. Sit for a while and watch one of the park’s entertaining shows, from The Adventures of Frog Prince to the Open Dive Show, where skilled divers perform their favorite tricks.

Cool off at the tropically themed Duke’s Lagoon and its multi-level waterplay platform, kid-friendly slides, spray nozzles, tipping cones and jets. Lounge nearby under palm trees and thatched umbrellas while your kids enjoy the water. Don’t miss the Pipeline Plunge, with two large water slides, one light and one in total darkness.

At Exploration Island, more than 20 lifelike dinosaurs are ready to be discovered on the Prehistoric Path. Join children excitedly digging up fossils in the Dino Dig sand pits. Older kids can drive their own small cars around the island on the Turnpike. Take a relaxing family boat ride on the Gondola Cruise.

Visit the Dutch Wonderland website for specific seasonal operating times and ticket options. The park reopens seasonally for special events, including Happy Hauntings in October. Experience interactive trick-or-treating, special entertainment and exciting family activities over three fall weekends. In December, the park comes alive as the Winter Wonderland. Come meet favorite royal characters and admire thousands of twinkling lights.

Find Dutch Wonderland about 5 miles (8 kilometers) east of Lancaster. Drive to the park within 1 to 3 hours from Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York City, Delaware, Baltimore or Washington, DC. Parking is available for a fee. Check the website to see the daily operating hours.
