"The hotel is a delightful experience. It is in a quiet location overlooking Chester-le-Street, but within walking distance of the town and Riverside Park. The room was comfortable and clean. The decor is in keeping with the theme of the castle, and well maintained. Reception, bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices are extensive and the restaurant caters for vegan and GF diners. Lumley Castle is my first choice for staying in the Newcastle area; it never disappoints."

"Great hotel and staff above and beyond, enjoyed sunbathing in pool area during the heat wave sauna steam room cold dip aswell very soothing tea tray on room no biscuits 🥲 will definitely be back and bring own hobnobs, 10 % of bill so charge to room because you can only use once restaurant expensive great bluebell pub £5 in taxi and drinks much cheaper Wetherspoon blue bell will beer garden very friendly staff stay open late for World Cup then bar staff droped us of at hotel early hours ❤️"
