"This was a one and done for me. Hotel was just ok. Needs to be more polished. Hotels and resorts in Florida in the summer need to have coolants or chillers on their pools, there is such a thing. The pool was like bathwater, it was disgusting.
When we checked in they gave us a room with a lovely view of air conditioning units and I asked to be moved and they did accommodate me with a room with a better view of the courtyard area. The prices for food at the resort were like Disney price...

"This is our second time to stay here - demo / construction has been going on with the properties on each side but it’s understandable considering the hurricane(s) a few years ago. We would still highly recommend and the demo to the south should be finishing up asap.

"It’s got a cute lil vibe (updated with character)…the breakfast was a nice perk as well. The pool is large and the gym was somewhat smaller but sufficient with only 3 people in it, would have felt cramped with 2 more people (total of 5). They did run out of pool towels but overall this was a nice place to stay for a night. Favorite was the room; bed, bedding & bathroom :)"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Barefoot Beach Club. The staff were friendly and wonderful. We had a beautiful ocean view room. The only downside we had was the lack of respect of some of the guests and their children at the pool area. As well as the last evening we were there, children were in the pool after the pool should have been closed, screaming and yelling. The resort itself was amazing, the staff were great."

"This place is great if you're looking for a relaxing getaway. What it lacks in amenities the 30 second walk to the beach makes up for it. The rooms and property are older, but well maintained. The two ladies in the front office are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. I will definitely be staying here again!"

"Great hotel, actually built on the property (the Tropicana) where I once ran an art gallery. Sadly, nobody working there, despite the plaque right outdoors, knew anything about the property or its history. Two things. "I am not one to write bad reviews but everything about this place was off. When we went to check in I found out that parking is 3 blocks away. 3 blocks when it feels like 105 outside is not fun for anyone. At least offer a valet option. First time I spent $40 to park as well.
Next once we arrived to the room the lighting was somewhat dim and we noticed the sink looked dirty and the shower was not cleaned. When we put the water on you could see soap bubbles from the last people’s visit. There...

"We were there to go to a Tampa Bay Rowdies game, so the hotel location was perfect for that.
Was surprised by the $45 valet parking fee. No indication that self parking was available. Also was not able to obtain a luggage cart without the use of a bell hop, which means needing to tip, but the hotel is cashless, so couldn't get any smaller bills for a $20 bill.
Once in our room the mini-fridge didn't work. No one at the front desk answers the phone. All room needs are communicated via text...
