This hotel is slightly quirky but is very nice. I slept very well here and enjoy my room and the view over the valley. I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing. The only thing that would make the stay better would be to provide guests with a kettle to make tea or coffee in their rooms. I will definitely stay here again. There’s no elevator so if you have heavy bags, be prepared to carry them up stairs.

Amazing location on the top of the cliff. It is located in the heart of historical part of Domme. Great view from the hotel but not from our room facing some buildings. Guests from Vancouver, Canada

Phenomenal location at the edge of a panoramic bastide. Expensive, but very good restaurant in the hotel itself (not always open in mid October). Some good restaurants nearby, but many also not open for dinner in mid October (although open for lunch).

Unbelievable views great restaurant, if you use the restaurant book early to get a good table. The time are dated but clean and comfortable. However the Aircon was broken when we stayed which spoiled it stay somewhat

L'Esplanade is in the heart of Domme, a charming place and town with a wonderful view of the valley. Parking is an issue. We left our car in a metered space (without paying) for about 45 minutes while we were checking in and received a ticket. The staff directed us to an unmetered spot on the street and we left it there for the rest of our two day stay. BUT we were there off season (week after Easter). If you are going to stay there during a busier time you should research the parking options and costs.

L'hôtel était complet !

Bien que ma réservation était correctement enregistrée auprès de vos services sur votre site, mon compte vient d'être débité (106.86 €), l'hôtel n'en avait aucune trace et il était complet ! Je remercie l'employée de l'hôtel qui a passé plusieurs appels pour enfin me trouver une chambre d'hôte non loin. Je n'ai donc pas séjourné dans cet hôtel. Ce fut un peu stressant vue l'heure tardive.

Stunning Views & Charming Stay

L'Esplanade was the perfect, quaint French countryside experience we were seeking for our 2-night trip to Domme! We rented 3 rooms for our friends at this hotel and loved the endless vistas of the Dorodgne Valley. From watching the sunset and hot air balloons, to enjoying the delicious chef-crafted dinner at the restaurant, L'Esplanade is the only place we would stay on our next trip to Domme!

Séjour d'une semaine agréable. Très bel endroit avec vue plongeante sur la Dordogne, petit déjeuner pouvant être pris sur la terrasse très appréciable, malheureusement le temps ne nous a pas permis de le faire chaque jour, mais une véranda nous a accueillis. La bastide est vraiment jolie à visiter. La propriétaire de cet établissement est charmante, le service parfait . Endroit très calme le soir ce qui permet une jolie balade dans ces vieux murs et d'emprunter de jolies petites rues et ruelles en toute tranquillité .

Fantastische Lage, der Rest enttäuschend

Keine Frage; die Lage dieses Hotels ist wunderschön mit einem herrlichen 180-Grad-Blick über das Dordogne-Tal - sofern man ein entsprechendes Riverview-Zimmer hat. Den fantastischen Blick hat man jedoch auch von dem Belvedere gleich nebenan. Alles andere ist enttäuschend; kein hoteleigener Parkplatz (entweder man nimmt einen sehr teuren öffentlichen Parkplatz oder hofft, dass einer in einer Strasse frei wird, was sehr selten eintrifft). Des Weiteren sehr kleines Standard-Zimmer und schmales Queensize-Bett, weder Tresor noch Kühlschrank im Zimmer; TV hat nicht funktioniert. Kein Lift. Manches Zweistern-Hotel hat einen besseren Standard. Verpflegungs-Preise dagegen auf hohem Niveau.
