"Everything in the room was very dated and tired, there was a layer of dust over everything including the sofa. The sliding door did not lock. The bed was uncomfortable. There was an unpleasant smell like cat urine on entering the property. It was completely over priced. There was a notice on the property saying that the restaurant was closed and an alternate number to call to check in. We ended up leaving and not staying the night despite not being able to get a refund."

"We had a good stay at the hotel. The breakfast was good and included bacon, sausage, bread, pancakes, eggs, coffee, and juice. However, it would be even better if they also offered fruits and yogurt as additional options. Overall, we enjoyed our experience."

"Nice hotel with spacious bedrooms. Beds were comfy and the hotel is located well and close to waterton. The water slide was great. Our flush clogged on the first day but the staff were quick to fix it upon our complaint. Breakfast is nice but the only issue is that the staff takes too long to refill basic stuff. "Very basic hotel. There was never anyone at the front desk. Coming and going, I never saw a staff member at the front desk except when I rang the bell when I checked in. Pillows on the bed were so deflated, so I asked housekeeping for an extra pillow or 2. After being told they would replace the pillows on day 2 of my 7 night stay, the pillows were never replaced or offered an extra. I ended up taking a pillow from a sofa in the lobby. "Not too much to choose from in the small town of Fort MacLeod. Red Coat Inn certainly seemed the better of choices. A bit dated and a tad rundown it was clean and convenient. Office were helpful and on-site parking was free. The Fort is well worth a visit."
