"Peaceful retreat"

"The entire place was beautiful. Our room was very nice. We could sit on the balcony and watch the golfers. Everything was clean, quiet, and updated. I would recommend this place highly."

"Property was a disappointment. As a professional mariner, I have an outstanding sense of level. The cabin is seriously out of level on the ground floor, which is amplified upstairs. Our suitcase was rolled out of the way, only to roll back rapidly. The storm door was missing the entire glass and was just an empty frame. A hole was burnt through the decking of the front porch with no patch where some guest had attempted to grill. If someone has one leg shorter than the other and walks the same...

"While generally clean enough, the property does not let visitors know in advance that: a) their room will not have a TV; b) the rooms do not have cell service; c) the room has no desk; and, d) most of the rooms require a walk up a hill so steep that it required two "back-and-forth" paths. In addition, computer problems screwed up check-in such that after walking up the big hill, my key didn't work because it was for the wrong room. "Rooms are small and quirky and have a lovely view of the lush meadow. The owners are very friendly and let us pet their cats. Air conditioning unit worked well. Parking was a breeze. The Manor is very quiet at night, you can hear your neighbors creaking down the hallway so it doesn't offer a feeling of privacy. It's a nice safe haven in a beautiful area."
