"We had no hot water for several hours and received different explanations from the staff. It did get fixed overnight but we could not take a shower and get ready for a concert we were in town for. "I had a great one-night stay at the Whitehall. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. The hotel is run by Sotherly and they had some nice touches - lemon cookies in the room, a veteran-focused foundation that they make you aware of, etc. The 1st floor bar, with an outside space, looked awesome. I just didn't have time to visit. The location is fine - a little on the outer edge of that side of downtown. I was close to my venue, so it was perfect for me. The only thing to note...

"Very modern and beautiful hotel. Room was very clean, comfortable and had a good nights sleep in a very plush bed. We had a couple of drinks from Rojo bar and an amazing dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse all located in lobby of hotel which was very convenient. Awesome plaxe to stay at for any occasion. "

"It was a nice hotel. Very clean. Breakfat was great. Loved the cold water pitchers out all day, even 1 cooler of flavor infused. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Liked that our room was serviced every other day rather than not at all during the visit."

"All the staff were fantastic, during the storm a tree fell on our house and we needed a dry safe place to stay. Even though the power was out they still checked us in and it was comfortable given the circumstances. Housekeeping was incredible."

"The property is lovely. Signage to the guest rooms on the first floor is greatly lacking and confusing. My room definitely needed a deep clean. Lots of dust on lamps, pictures, etc. The safe didn’t work. All relatively minor, but for the cost of the stay, it really should be pristine. Room service brought me fruit that was past its prime and even had mold on one of the strawberries. "

"I loved how it was right on the beach! And had a parking garage with elevators everywhere. Very convenient. And the price is perfect for one night! I didn’t like how the pool closed early at 10 pm. It should stay open to adults till midnight at least. They should have a camera on the gate and someone watching to make sure kids don’t go in the pool after 10pm. Us grown ups need relaxation from those kiddos when they go to sleep! 😂"
