"We arrived after 18.00 hours but we were expected and our room was ready and waiting. The facilities were excellent,and plenty of info on attractions was available. The breakfast menu was extensive and varied, with sausage and bacon sourced locally. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though access to it was rather a long way from the main road along an "unmade" track."

"We had room 402 on the fourth floor it was very warm with the sun coming into room all afternoon, we left a note for room service to leave the curtains pulled which helped on our return. We requested a fan which helped, one window was screwed shut which didn’t help. The floor sloped by approximately 4 inches from the door to the windows including the bathroom."

"We had a two night stay at the Welbeck Hotel. Whilst the decor in the room appeared dated, it was very clean and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend."

"I had a lovely view of Douglas’ beach and sea front. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the breakfast was excellent. The host was very helpful and charming. The property has four floors but the lift is out of action. I have stayed twice now and not been disappointed."

"Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice."

Loud talking and snoring heard through walls of neighboring rooms. Some sort of sewer flushing pipe/drain in courtyard outside our window whooshed frequently."

"Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others"

"I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels."
