"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room and grounds of the resort were not accurately depicted by the photos. The room was extremely small with an extremely loud AC unit about a foot away and set very low in wall so the air blew directly on the bed. It was very difficult to get a consistent setting on the temperature. The grounds were more old junkyard than vintage looking. Water temperature in shower was also impossible to set and it stay at that temperature. Would not return...

"It’s an older inn, so don’t expect a modern and spacious room. I would describe it as clean and quaint, and the staff are very friendly. Lots of parking, and close to the town of Winthrop."

"The staff were very helpful and attentive. We stayed there over a week, and experienced a few small glitches. They went out of their way to help us. The location was perfect; slightly out of town, so quiet, but a short walk into town. The. hot tub was extremely clean and well taken care of. The breakfasts were varied and very good. "If I’m being honest, we had some serious second thoughts when we first got there. There was a car in the parking lot that looked like it hadn’t moved in years with a flat tire and two years expired license tag. One room had aluminum foil covering the inside of the window. The hot tub was out of service, and there were some unusual signs around the property. Our first instinct was to cut our losses, and keep driving on our road trip. But once we checked in... "It is a cute place, be ready for a more rustic experience as far as bathrooms and washrooms go. The only thing I didn’t like is that it was a very flimsy lock, and we were the only ones on property for most the stay with spotty cell phone service. That part didn’t feel safe. If there were on site help or other campers around I think I would have felt more safe."

"Staff was very polite and nice, but we had paid in advance with hotels.com 3 months earlier - and were charged again when checked in, Howard’s hotel said they couldn't help our situation, (since they had changed or updated their computer system) and it didn’t show where we had paid.. but hotels.com contacted them and we were reimbursed so all turned out well. "

"We were here in the fall after the golf course closed and “winter pricing” was in affect. We were told it is quite busy during peak season, but it was darn near abandoned in November. Beautiful place with one golf course still under construction, more condos recently completed…lots going on for future amenities. Room was open and roomy with high ceilings and fireplace. View was gorgeous! We’ll be back!"
