"Given the price we paid, I expected more. It says parking, but that is hit and miss, with parking permits issued, but several cars in the car park without them and therefore difficulty finding a space. The room although quite well presented was very small, more of the size I would have expected for a single room, not double. It was hot weather I know, but even with a fan running all the time, the temperature was unbearable and the window had restricted opening. The hot water temperature needs...

"We appreciated the 2.00 book in. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of parking. Food was good with a wide range of choice. Would stay again. Would recommend"

"The room was bigger than average having a double bed, very comfy, also a 2 seater sofa, and a full sized wardrobe. Bathroom had a full sized bath, which is a big plus for me. Breakfast was continental style, very nice. Good bus links to Huddersfield Town and surrounding areas. Parking was plentiful. Just had to put your reg number in the registration screen at reception. Staff were friendly and very accommodating."

"A gem of a hotel tucked well away in it's own extensive grounds. We were upgraded to one of the 5 suites which was extremely spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was great and staff very helpful. We will definitely stay again."

"I'm not sure that for price and location the Midland can be bettered. Right in the middle of town but not noisy,(I was on an upper floor), also the breakfast had a good choice of both hot and cold dishes. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Aso free parking. The only minus we found, was that the USB ports weren't working - we did report this."
