This photo was taken just inside the Tennessee border. I had been staying at a cabin with my roommate and her family. We arrived at night at a time when I could not see the pond. When I woke up the next morning, we went outside and I was in awe of the beauty. It was bright, vibrant, and perfectly picturesque. The cabin we stayed in was hard to get to; it was on a one way gravel road up the side of a mountain. It is seemingly untouched, yet if I had turned the camera around, the viewer would notice power lines running up the side of the mountain. This picture seems to preserve the idea that Appalachia has not been touched by humans. #appalachianechoes

"The cabin overall is nice and does the job. However, the path to get to the cabin is very dangerous and I would not recommend this to anyone in the fall/winter months. The drive up can be very icy and the owner does not really care that my car (4wd) slipped down the hill and did not want to salt it when I asked. It was EXTREMELY dangerous. "I have a VERY sensitive nose and the AC had a smell.. it was hard to sleep. I never complained to staff bc honestly everything else was so amazing ! I don’t smoke and have some allergies. This is a very pet friendly place. It was my own fault I didn’t think that through when booking the place. I would 1 million percent recommend this place to someone with that caveat.. staff was absolutely incredible! Seriously I can not say that enough, room was clean, the free breakfast was great too "

"Absolutely the cleanest hotel. The breakfast was the best too, along with scoring a 99%- I totally understand why- not a crumb. The staff were the absolute kindest and very welcoming. We took our bikes and rode the greenway. Again, absolutely beautiful! This place gets a true ten from us. "

"We had a very lovely 1 nt stay while receiving local VA services. We were early arriving, so 1st went to the Player’s Club desk w/ our Veteran IDs, where we were automatically upgraded to “Legend” status. We had lunch at the HR cafe & couldn’t have had friendlier service & b/c it was “Military Monday”, our lunch was 25% off! Hubby liked the mahi sandwich (we split) more than I did, but the fries were spot on."

"Very nice place for the money. I would definitely stay here again! You can stay here and walk to a couple of nice restaurants and the movie theater. Also a bowling alley within walking distance. Great date night staying here and not having to worry about driving anywhere for the evening."
