"The bar was excellent"

"Very nice resort. Very clean!!! Food was okay. Beach was beautiful; loved how there were palm trees everywhere and so you could pull up a lounge chair for shade. I understand it was a kid friendly resort but I absolutely hated having pure alcohol poured on top of the slushee drink. You would think at least at the adults only pool, that that could be mixed in in the machine. As for the staff, I have to say I am disappointed. I stayed at a RIU in Cancun last year and the staff were exceptional. I felt a lot of the staff were very rude. Very unkind and acted as if they hated their job. No smiles. I would compliment them and they wouldn’t say anything or even smile. When I got my face painted for the white party the girl was PISSED that there was a line and when she turned around and saw a line she said “damn”. She wouldn’t converse with me or anything. It kind of killed my mood. NOW there were workers who were very kind. Oneil was a bartender at the wedding we attended and at the front bar by the entrance and he was great!!! Whitney with RIU fun was a hoot! Loved her. Other workers did not have their vibe or energy. And they were VERY pushy for tips. Even at the wedding we attended, my husband said thank you to everyone and one of the waiters said “well aren’t you going to tip me?” After we had tipped OUR waiter and Oneil. I honestly do not know if we will return to this resort as nice as it is just because the workers realllly killed the vibe. "

"The resort was nice but I doubt multiple roaches in my room in different days. The staff acted as if they knew nothing of them but apparently it’s been an issue I recommend them fuming the property. "

"Room was very dated but clean, water in shower kept going cold then hot ,service was ok when after they saw tips were coming, some were very nice some ignored you. Half of the resteraunts were closed, not much entertainment except for 2 nights except after 11 the nest opened mostly just a dj but not many people went because resteraunts and beach bar starts closing a little after 10 and then theres nothing else going on . The michael jackson show was fun. I went by the website about resteraunts and it looked fabulas. I have been to Jamaica 4 times and the first three were so wonderful you felt so happy everyone working there wanted you to have and enjoyable stay. And if you needed something or asked a question they would either takecare of it or find someo e who could. But at this one, if you needed a beach towel you better get thete early and i was so i got one but i was just walking up and someone else asked for one at about noon and the girl said can i have a towel and the staff said we dont have any they,are out, she asked when could she come back and get one, the staff said i dont know. Not let me fi d out or ill let you know just nope dont know. Ü nobody was happy with the resort but the beach was beautiful and everything was there. You just didn't have what you're used to when you've been to a really, you know, they didn't have enough staff. And it was like the service was so slow and you know, they didn't have any beach people that were serving you drinks and stuff. "

"The check-in was slow and tedious. Staff rude, both at front desk and pool bar. Dead cockroaches seen on walk to our room and plates with remnants of meals left in corners with flies buzzing them. Overall, the experience was a let-down."
