"I loved this resort! It was so beautiful on the West Bay beach. Staff was so friendly, always had a smile and willing to help. My only con which I wish I looked into before was that there was no fitness center on the grounds. Other than that I had an amazing 4 night stay at the Mayan Princess."

During our stay, our section of the property experienced repeated power outages while other areas of the hotel still had electricity. We also went two nights without hot water. We found insects in our room during our stay. I understand that this is a tropical destination and seeing an occasional bug is expected, but...

"If you’re looking for a tranquil and relaxing experience, away from tourists attractions, Las Verandas is the place. The grounds are well kept and the ocean views are spectacular. The restaurant on site and the poolside bar were amazing. Waitstaff very pleasant and attentive. The beach was very rocky therefore not conducive to swimming but the 2 infinity pools made up for that. We will definitely be returning for another week’s stay."

I think that in this type of properties, the staff should more quiet, and let the guests have a more quiet vacation. "This was the best trip I've ever been on! The Villas were just as described, so clean, and the room was cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast. The grounds were so beautiful and maintained wonderfully. The location was perfect if you are looking for a slower, relaxing environment, and access to the reef was incredible. The staff could not have done their jobs better, Sasha, Noel, Rose, everyone... The perfect curated group to make every aspect of our trip seamless. Food and drinks?...
