"The public areas are ok, the rooms were basic but clean, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was great! Views of the lock are lovely. However, we had 2 rooms. One was renovated, the other not and the difference was noticeable. One room did not have a working bathroom fan, heated towel rack and had the loudest floors I have ever heard. "I was quite disappointed upon entering the hotel foyer, and I thought to myself, gosh, it’s very tired. That said, when we entered our room, it was delightful. Everything was beautifully clean and there was so much space that we could just dump our stuff without even unpacking! The bedding was sumptuous and the bed itself was lovely and comfy. "Website doesn’t prepare you for the 5-10 minute walk uphill on a gravel path every time you go to and from your room from your car or hotel center. Won’t give golf cart rides (Staff uses them) for safety reasons. WiFi is available about 50% of the time. No phone in room so you hike down and back up hill to ask for help with it. No fridge in room. Some staff are great and some are rude."

"Buena ubicación para un roadtrip. Puedes pasear por el pueblito al lado de puente y ver las impresionantes vistas del mismo desde abajo. Algo mediocre la limpieza. Debajo de la cama estaba sucísimo y al moverla un poco para colocarla cerca de la pared para que no cayese el bebé de la cama nos encontramos con hasta restos de comida. "I loved this place! ❤️ However, it is quite far and it took 3 hours to get to the Isle of Skye. Another important thing is that the road to get there feels like an extreme sport. Applecross road is not for the weak. Once you get there it’s special."

"Ideal location, but property is old and has no air conditioning in rooms which would be okay if windows had screens and opened more than an inch. Our room received afternoon sun and was unbearable all night. Given the outside temperature was in the mid 50s (F) at night room should have cooled off but did not."

"Expedia booking said breakfast included , hotel staff said it was not. Expedia booking said booked at Garrison Hotel, but we were actually booked at Garrison Apartments which is 0.2 mile away. We still had to check in at the Hotel location then drive 0.2 mile away to apartment . All the parking at apartment was full , so unload luggage and then drive around Fort William looking for parking. Found parking 1 mile away and then walked back ."

"There’s no question the views from the hotel are incredible with access to a pebbly shoreline. These were memorable and breathtaking. Watch out for the jellyfish though! However whilst friendly and helpful finding staff at times can be challenging. At one point I wanted a coffee to relax in the bar and read but was told sorry nobody here until 3pm almost an hour later. It was however very nice when I did get it.
