"This is a "self-check-in" lodge in the woods, easy to miss the dirt road leading to the property. The property does not have a sign saying "Hideaway lodge", it simply has the house number labelled "private property". You simply go in the lodge, at the appointed check-in time (NOT earlier!... of course the door in unlocked). Guests receive email with instructions but we did not get an email so we just showed up hoping someone will help us. The cleaners were very nice enough to help us. We enjoyed...

We knew how far away it was from Yellowstone, but the drive between was not ideal. The roads into the community where the lodge is located are extremely bumpy, gravel/dirt roads. "We were not aware the property was under renovation when we booked our stay. While they apologized for the inconvenience, it was still not an ideal stay. Rooms around us were being redone and there was a lot of renovation 'stuff' in the hallways along with noise during the day. Luckily, it was quiet at night :) The carpet in our room had paint splatters but no other evidence of remodeling. I'm assuming it was slated for further work in the future.
