"It’s a scam, don’t fall for it, the listing states that you book the entire cabin but in reality it’s just one room! It’s a share cabin with a share bathroom! They don’t tell you until it’s too late to cancel with no penalty’s. Basically they will corner you into sharing the cabin or loose your money. The owner is a scam artist, the property is based in Guatemala but she contacted me using a Thailand phone number, good luck getting in touch with her (if it’s even a she) don’t get fooled by this....

"Hotel Fontabella is an amazing property. Centrally located and so many food options are available within the hotel property. The Staff is superb, Sofia and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us during our stay. We will be returning in 6 months and really look forward to staying with Hotel Fontabella. "

"Very secluded for a nice reset and self-made yoga retreat. This was a beautiful spot to sit for hours, watching birds, the sunset, and the volcano in the mornings, and to simply enjoy life in nature. I enjoyed walking down the hill to the earth lodge for food and coffee, and the Italian restaurant was perfect! "

"Really enjoyed my one night at this beautiful little lake "cabin". Paula, the manager, was especially helpful with everything and communicated promptly with me when I had any questions, even outside normal business hours. Thank you Paula! It is accessed via a private dock and is tricky to access after normal lancha run-times from San Marcos, so plan accordingly and buy your supplies beforehand. "Breakfast was great! Pools were great! Travelled with 2 yo plenty of activities for him between play ground, trampoline and pools. Rooms spacious! We would definitely return. Resort was undergoing construction/maintenance but this did not bother us one bit. Not being able to bring food in didn’t bother us either."
