"Food was ok Lighting in room awful, struggled to apply make up room was a bit neglected woodwork cracked and un kept . Location was good Also breakfast was expensive didn’t realise it was cheaper if paid on line"

"No tea and coffee in the room pushed you to go and pay for breakfast and the breakfast was not very good. Had to put my bread through the toaster 8 times before it resembled toast and the bacon looked like it had been cooked over a heated argument."

"Only 3 rooms in this to tiny hotel. But it was spacious, peaceful & quiet. The best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel for years. Lovely staff and nice pub below. The room was refurbished and the bathroom brand new. Situated right by the magnificent Heaton park. Recommended for families."

"Great location near public transport. Friendly/helpful staff. My only problem was the bath was quite deep and hard to get in/out of for showering; an age thing but something that others need to be aware of. Other than that niggle, would not hesitate to return."
