"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Apex Market Hotel in Edinburgh. The hotel was clean, the location was excellent, and most aspects of our stay met our expectations. The only issue we encountered was that our room was unusually hot, while the rest of our family’s rooms were comfortable and cool. We contacted the front desk and were told an engineer would be sent to look into the problem, but no one ever came. Fortunately, one of the staff members stepped in and resolved the situation by moving us to a different room, which we really appreciated. While the lack of follow-through on the maintenance request was disappointing, the staff member who helped arrange the room change provided excellent customer service and turned the experience around. Overall, it was a good stay, and with better communication regarding maintenance requests, it would have been an excellent one."

"Property is beautiful. We were not there to golf, but the golf amenities were great. Nice location to quickly get to the tram to go into Edinburgh. Much bigger hotel than I realized. Our room was on the top and south facing. Room got really warm. The little fan in the room was not enough to cool things down much. Restaurant food at night was really good. Standard breakfast fair was good. Over all our experience was fine."

"No laundry facilities for guest use—only laundry service. Otherwise fabulous! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in early in the morning, which was a lifesaver because we were wiped out from traveling. They helped us figure out how to use the train station when we were leaving as well. The train station is a stone’s throw from the hotel—very convenient. We loved our stay and would stay here again!"
