Great place to stay on a budget! Staff were professional and friendly. The 2x twin room we stayed in was small but that is the intentional design. Very clean and quiet. It is a little bit further away from “things to do” but it’s only about a kilometer walk at most.

Very clean, big, nice hotel. The breakfast is mostly Korean which I like, but the coffee machine is outdated and didn’t give any coffee the two days I went. Also, the breakfast stops at 9am sharp. Would be convenient if it was a bit longer. Can occur very big queue. There is laundry machines and dryer in the ground floor with coin use which was amazingly convenient for a backpacker like me. The cleaning everyday was spotless, generally speaking the hotel is very well managed and maintained. The bathroom is a kind of plastic capsule you can find in super cheap hotels in Europe but at least it’s very clean and working well. I had a smoking room as the hotel was fully booked but I knew it at the time of booking and the cleaning was done very well, thus very tiny smoke smell in the room.

I booked a twin non smoking room. Checkin was very easy, front desk spoke English. Room was very clean and large. Had two win beds, a large sitting area with small couch and chair. Just like the pictures. The room is a bit dated, but for the price, size, cleanliness, and comfort, I don’t care if the decor is old. They give you a choice of daily housekeeping, but keeping with eco friendliness, you can opt out. They will deliver extra towels if needed. I have to say, the best part of my stay was the breakfast. My rate included breakfast and there was quite a bit to eat. It is primarily Korean. If you want western, they had bread and maybe some cereal. The choice of main Korean dishes changed daily which was nice. Overall, i would definitely stay at Toyoko Inn again and highly recommend.

Hotel is clean, but level of service is average.

The hotel name “Toyoko Inn Government Complex” should’ve been a strong clue that I didn’t pick up - I thought it was about location. Instead, it tells you what to expect (and you shouldn’t expect much) in terms of level of services. Rooms are cleaned at certain time of day all at the same time - they literally open them up and leave them open for half a day while the hotel cleaning staff takes their time to do what they need to do. All your belongings in the room will be on display from 10 am to 3 pm for anyone walking hallways! The only other option is to tell them not to clean your room, then they will leave you a set of fresh towels and water bottles by your door in a plastic bag - not a bad option if you don’t want to showcase your belongings to all hotel guests. Rooms are clean and have showers, but no shower curtain; furniture items look like they belong in a dorm room rather than hotel room. They do offer breakfast - don’t expect much variety in food selection, and the items offered are rather basic. The breakfast service has a hard stop at 9 am, and this is where they showcased high level of efficiency - all food and service items will be gone within a couple of minutes!

Pros: Clean and friendly service and convenient parking Cons: single residence room without bowls, utensils, and plates was surprising; had to buy dish soap, kitchen brush, paper plates, & fruit knife to survive for 13 days. Bathroom had no soap. first thing I had to do was going down and grab one to wash hands. It was annoying as I wanted to wash my hands after hours travel. I Couldn’t open the blinds as neighbors could see my room inside. Had to request room change. Breakfast was mostly Korean dishes except boiled eggs, white bread, shredded cabbage, oj but no milk, no cereal, no yogurt.
