"The cabin has a great rustic feel, plenty of space for our group, and a peaceful, private location. We really enjoyed the authentic log cabin atmosphere. The downsides: No A/C or WiFi. While the listing doesn’t advertise A/C or Wi-Fi, it would be helpful if it clearly stated that neither is available. The upstairs loft also gets quite warm after hot summer days. The cabin could have been much cleaner—we found numerous cobwebs, spiders, dead and living moths, old kitchen towels and washcloths....

"We absolutely loved staying at this motel. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There's a ton to do there between the pools, the basketball court, pickleball court, all the board games and everything else. It's the perfect location for Custer State Park and the town of Custer and they offer free laundry services which helped us out a lot after hiking in the park. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to others."

"We love this hotel. It might be a little dated, but it has everything you need for a good holiday. The pool areas are great - we were very happy it was hot enough this year to enjoy the outdoor pool, and the kids loved the big indoor pool. Breakfast hours are nice and early so you can get what you need before heading out on your adventures, and we appreciated the cooked options, especially the biscuits and gravy! Staff were really friendly and resolved any problems we had with housekeeping very promptly. One thing to note is that, in our experience at least, the check-in time is not flexible, so there's not much point arriving early."
