"It was an awful eperience staying at Novotel waterloo. I spent £410 for an night. We checked in very late night around 1:00 AM. When I entered in the room it was very disgusting smell coming out of toilet and bathroom. so I called reception then the lady came with the room freshner. We couldn't slept for whole night as it was so hot because air conditioning wasn't working at all. Kids were crying for the whole night. Worst ever experience. I stayed with alot of different Accor brand hotel but this time it was that bad that won't be going with any Accor brand hotel. I told at the reception about everything and they apologies."

"We booked a two night trip. We arrived a little early and were told we’d been upgraded and had a complementary late check out. I had already paid £30 for this via hotels.com. Overall, staff were friendly, especially those serving breakfast but check in and out was a little haphazard. Pool area was good although crowded as it was a nice day in the holidays. Paid £100 for breakfast over the two days. Would have been much cheaper to pay for breakfast once there or eat somewhere nearby. Room was clean and bathroom well appointed but some of the complimentary toiletries couldn’t be dispensed. Room also not soundproof. "

"Reasonable hotel with a good location. It was clean, staff was friendly and property was in good condition however pick-up rides for Uber/Taxis are not the best because there is always a car that's double-parked/on top of the walking path-sidewalk and no vehicle can go in or out without problems. Ubers especially can't ever find the location. The parking attendant don't help to rush the drivers who are illegally parked. Otherwise, it is an above average American type of hotel; don't expect to feel like your in London once you are inside but it's a good place to stay. We booked this hotel because it had a pool and for my 7 day stay, I haven't yet visited the pool once because they are always overbooked (I've called down to Guest service and they always say there is no availability) which is crazy. You don't think the pool would be 24/7 operations but they close at a specific time, with the money you are paying, you would expect the pool to be open and available. Also, after Day 1 of your stay, the bottled water for drinking is not free, you have to call downstairs for basic things like robes. I'll say that the check-out process was very simple though (we just had to drop our keys off). Room service food was nice however if I order 1 bottle of water, it was 5 pounds local currency and another 5 pounds for a service charge which is ridiculous; when asked why, they said every room service order has a mandatory 12% charge to it. I hope the 12% charge goes to the staff. "

"£19 for a night in central London — and I slept 13 hours straight. 4-bed dorm, only one other guest. Clean bed, fresh linen, en-suite bathroom, warm, quiet. No complaints, simply - just sleep. In an era where a pack of cigarettes costs more than a bed in Zone 1, some people still find reasons to complain. I found reasons to be grateful. This place does exactly what it promises. Nothing more, nothing less. And sometimes that is everything. "
