"We love coming to the knoll house, it is clean and quirky and has a lot of history attached to it. The food is lovely. It’s very dog friendly beautiful Studland beach is across the road. It has a small pool and Swanage is five minutes drive down the road. It’s a very relaxing place to be."

"This hotel is located in an amazing location with Poole Harbour to one side and the sea to the other, both accessible from the hotel. The staff are polite and professional. The housekeeping is impressive. Although the building is looking a little tired, the ambience, staff members and service make up for it. Breakfast is as expected with variety on offer to cater to most dietary requirements. The dining/eating area could be made a little more attractive as the layout seems rather formal....

"Spotlessly clean room, excellent service from the room attendant Alison, also the handyman Alex was hugely helpful, doling out extra tea , coffee & milk on departure day. The chap on reception kindly allowed my friend to stay with me for the second night & was chatty & helpful, arranging taxis etc. Late check out was appreciated too, of course without extra fee! Yes, the hotel could use a lick of paint on the exterior, however the interior is very good, just needs a couple of scatter...
