By far the most disappointing hotel stay of our Ireland trip. Room was visibly worn and poorly maintained. Multiple visible stains on bedding, bed area and upholstered furniture (see photos). "Great location on the promenade. You can walk to pubs, restaurants, and music in Salt Hill. And it's a short cab ride to all the sites in Galway."

"This hostel is fantastic! The rooms are incredibly spacious, and since we were a group of four, we were given two rooms connected by a bathroom in the middle. "We booked for one night, and were looking forward to using the spa facilities. When we arrived, we were told that they were shut for refurbishment. Apparently, this work has been going on for some time. I was told an email had been sent out. I did not receive any email. The hotel has a duty to let people know such things, so they have a choice of changing their plans. I noticed a lot of unhappy people that weekend. They are not afraid to charge top prices, and yet offer very little in return."

"Everything was great. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean. The only negative was parking offsite and hauling luggage to the hotel but that was stipulated upfront and the hotel did validate the parking fees."
