"This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. The only thing I would caution is the room was a long way through a maze of stairs and corridors so if you brought múltiple suitcases and have a car then plan ahead and only take what you will need and be wearing the next day in your smaller case otherwise this place was fantastic! I think they may have offered to help with...

"Stayed one night as a family before heading to airport. Rooms a little tired but clean and very spacious. Comfortable beds and quiet. There was an event on when we stayed and when we walked to our room I was very worried we'd hear it in our room but heard absolutely nothing. Staff were exceptional and great with the children. Swimming pool which was great too. We would definitely stay again. "

"Staff genuinely friendly, polite and are always happy to be helpful, even above and beyond the call of duty. That coupled with the well kept and gorgeous building and surrounding land, made my stay perfect. The atmosphere and ambiance of the hotel itself, and then the back drop of a beautiful sky and horizon, and the woodlands surrounding, it’s just the perfect place to quickly, but with slow luxury, be able to unwind and recharge at the same time. Rooms always spotless, the pool is fabulous....

"We booked here very last minute when there were limited options and beyond pleasantly surprised and would stay again. Very friendly and helpful staff, easy check-in and check-out, convenient location to get around Edinburgh (we walked to a gig in Queen's Hall), next door to Waverley but sound proof/ not loud outside, and we also managed to nab an overnight parking spot outside (free after 6.30 Saturday until 12.30 Sunday, ticketed otherwise).
