"Lovely hotel, stopped for 1 night on the way up to a wedding in Ayr. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, room was comfortable and clean.
Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, would like to return."

"We have stayed at The Powfoot Hotel as a stopover on the way to our final destination in Scotland. It is an absolute gem. Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. Well done all of you at The Plowfoot Hotel, you have put this place firmly on the map for us."

"We spent one evening and night at The Ship Inn as part of our Golden Wedding Celebrations. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, the environment was welcoming, staff professional and friendly, rooms very clean and comfortable and breakfast perfect, giving more than adequate veggie options."
