Some beautiful furnishings throughout. Some areas a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Staff were all excellent.
Breakfast was good but felt dinner prices a bit excessive for what was served.
We had a beautiful newly refurbished bathroom ( bedroom not ) so here’s hoping improvements are going on throughout the hotel.
We would recommend and we will return.
We had a lovely refurbished room in the main hotel - all areas were clean some a bit dated (but in keeping with the overall vibe of the place)

The hotel sits in beautiful grounds and has plenty of parking, including several EV chargers which was very convenient. The rooms appear very dated but very clean and spacious. Sound definitely travels throughout and we could easily hear our neighbours. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed a tasty roomservice meal, although it felt overpriced.
Beautiful old hotel. Very dog friendly.
Views are amazing. Bedroom was very large and clean but needs bit of refurbishing. Found bedroom doors were a bit noisy when closing.
As the weather was excellent we enjoyed sitting in our balcony relaxing and enjoying the view. Good walks. Great pool and hot tub. Had our breakfast in the conservatory as we could take our dog in with us. Breakfast was a good buffet selection. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Fully enjoyed our stay and will return.
Wonderful stay. Room was large and bed comfortable. Leisure facilities were very good and relaxing after travelling. Breakfast and dinner food was excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Peaceful setting.
Beautiful room overlooking Loch.
Friendly reception staff.
Amazing reception rooms..Bow lounge. Conservatory bar.
Staff friendly and helpful.
We hope to come back soon.
Breakfast super and dinner on Saturday night very enjoyable.
Staff were excellent and made the stay even better.
The bar, and the outside seating area very comfortable and we enjoyed our drinks in the sunshine.
Golf course, although we didn’t play looked in extremely good condition.
A great break away. Could have stayed longer.
Old elegant hotel. Yes a bit worn in places but spotlessly clean. Food fantastic. Views and grounds are spectacular. Very dog friendly. Rooms spacious and warm Pool good. No spa. Golf right on your doorstep. Staff helpful. Annie at reception especially so. Lovely walks and close to beaches and cute towns. Lacked atmosphere in the dining room and bar areas. All in all great value for money and a restful few days. Planning to return.
Scenic, accommodating pets, homely feel, good views from room. Good downstairs rooms with National Trust like decor. Swimming pool & jacuzzi fab. Downside guest rooms dated but very comfortable beds. Needed a little dust. But didn’t spoil our stay. Would stay again.

Lovely warm welcome, beautiful building. Good facilities like a pool to keep my kids entertained. Had a drink on the night from the bar and relaxed in a beautiful room watching baby deer on the golf course. Woke up from a good night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast in the hotel dining hall. We all loved it and will definitely be back on our next travels through Scotland.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good sized rooms. However there was broken glass on the balcony, the bunkbeds for the children wobbled ridiculous everytime one of them moved and then in the morning my son found someone else’s socks under his pillow so clearly they hadn’t changed the beds from the last guests. I cannot believe a hotel can do that. It’s a real shame as the feel of the hotel was nice and it is in a beautiful location.
Everything was nice the staff to the food it's such a beautiful period build with a good mixture of old and modern. A nice large swimming pool alongside some games for children to keep entertained. Will be back hopefully later this year to finish off my wee tour of D&G
