"Charming traditional style hotel in the heart of Colmar, close to little venice. My single room was charming, in the top floor of the building with a restricted view of Little Venice. The staff were very helpful and professional. Being on the top floor, my room was accessable by a flight of steps. That was fine for me, but may not suit older or less mobile travellers. But most rooms can be accessed via the elevator."
"This was our second time staying at the hotel after having one night stopover a couple of years ago.We really loved it then so this time didn’t have any doubts when booking.I just didn’t realise that last time I had booked premium rooms and this time I’ve booked standard ones instead. They would have been great for one night but for three days we found them a little bit too small and not very comfortable especially with kids.No fridge in the rooms too which was inconvenient.Beds were ok,additional pillows too.
Our rooms were overlooking the main road so a little bit noisy at some point and as there are the parking bays just under the windows- lot of talking from people parking there too.
Great breakfast with many selections of food.Breakfast could become quite busy in the mornings and finding a set up and clean table was a challenge .
There’s a parking for additional fee that needs to be booked in advance which is handy(we knew this from previous time but after reading the reviews from other people so keep that in mind).
The rooms were tidied and cleaned to some degree daily.Bin hasn’t been emptied until the second day although it was almost completely full on the first one.The shower gel/shampoo was over when we checked in and hasn’t been replaced/topped up until we left. There were some hairs on the bathroom floors that haven’t been cleaned at all and made it look not very appealing.
Otherwise staff at reception and at breakfast area was helpful."
"The location of this hotel is excellent, with the center of tourist activity within walking distance. We visited during the hottest summers on record and we toured the city and boated on the canal. I suggest taking the city train tour and have a relaxing tour of the old town. There are many fine restaurants in the old city, make reservations or get there early. I continued my journey after 2 days and I will visit Narbonne on the Southern coast."
"Location, size of room and breakfast were lovely! However it was let down by inconsistent staffing of reception! On arrival in the evening despite knocking on several, what seemed like office doors and ringing reception we still had an appalling wait for a member of staff! He seemed to also appear from one of the doors we’d knocked on so had ignored our knock. When he did arrive (short male with short dark hair) he was miserable, unwelcoming and didn’t tell us any of the usual information such as breakfast times and location or pool opening times. The pool area also had a disgusting looking area of water that was there before you had a chance to avoid it and couldn’t avoid it if you wanted to access the pool! Looking dirty and not nice at all!"
