The room is very spacious and the bathroom is large and included shower gel and shampoo. We had an excellent nights sleep and the bed was super comfy. The kettle and coffee machine are in the main kitchen, another spacious and clean area. The second floor case drag was a pain but we knew that when we booked. The AC worked well as it was 40° when we arrived! We had lunch in Mia Casa (same block) and it was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. Getting to the port was an easy walk so worth the stay.

We had a great one night stay! The room was comfortable with well-working AC. The granite bathroom and shower were amazing, best shower of my life after 26+ hours of travel! The check-in process was a bit confusing with the codes and the doors as we were told door 1 but it was actually door 4, just a miscommunication so no biggie. Once we got in we were very happy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and also would recommend the restaurant A Casa Mia just down the street for coffee in the morning!

The room was excellent the bed very comfortable the whole room is very nice and clean, very modern. the only problem is the entrance at first it looks like an abandoned place and there's no elevator so you have to walk up 2 high flies of stairs if you have heavy luggage it can be strenuous. Over all it was very good.

The mold in the shower of Room 3, at a minimum, should be cleaned. Shower door is off its track. Cheap, white Bed side tables have bubbled. These are small things that can be fixed for very little cost. Sheets were clean, bed is comfortable. Location is excellent. Kitchen and kitchen ware is clean.

Upon entering, the garbage can sitting in the entry smelled foul. There was no elevator, so that meant hauling four suitcases up two flights of stairs. The common area and room were very clean and modern, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was especially nice. However, in the night, there was a strange methane-like smell in the bathroom. The bedspread had an obvious stain on it. The location was super convenient to the port and its shuttle bus system. Lots of restaurants were within an easy walk, but even while dining, peddlers would accost you with trinkets that were “free” and then ask for payment. The Ferris wheel was within an easy walk and worth the six euros for the view of the coastline.

Only issue was the stairs. I was told my room was on the second floor but apparently, that didn’t include the ground floor when counting floors so it was really the third floor and had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Not fun after traveling for 24 hrs. I will say the self check in directions were very easy to follow.

The room was exactly as described. The location was really close to where our cruise shuttle dropped us off after the end of our cruise. We were able to walk a few blocks and arrive. The shop right next door is a luggage storage location so that was a convenient place to store our things while we waited for the room check in time. The only thing that was unclear was the timing of getting the check in codes since this is a self check in location. So hopefully this will help others, but you get the codes much closer tk the time to access the property than I was prepared for - it finally came around 1pm. It made me very nervous.l that morning since we had no information and because it was the weekend I guess, my messages weren't being responded to. However, the young man in the shop was so kind and helpful. Not only did he store our luggage, but he also helped me understand the process, offered to call the host if there was an issue later in the day with access, and he stayed late at work to make sure we were able to get in. So if you stay at this property, know that the store next door has some awesome people working there that are very willing to help.

Check in was a bit of a challenge, especially taking all the photos of us and our passports. Plus my credit card payment for the city tax needed several attempts before it was finally processed. It was a challenge navigating the stairs to the guest house with our suitcases because the stairs were made of stone and somewhat slippery. The bedroom was very large, which was nice. But we were supposed to have a harborview and all we had was buildings and the street. The bathroom was also large but the shower was in need of a good scrubbing because of mold in the tile grout. We booked this accommodation at the last minute because our other hotel in the port was damaged in a fire. It was overpriced for what we got. I don’t think I would book this type of property again.

This was an unusual property/experience. The main door is located on a busy street in a sketchy area. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (2nd floor for Europeans). As there is no on-site staff, pre-check-in is handled through email, including passport submittal, etc. We arrived on Saturday morning in time to return a rental car before they closed at noon. Since check-in was not available until 3pm, this left us with nowhere to be and a bunch of luggage. Communication through the booking app was ineffective, but once I used the property’s direct email, they were very helpful and responsive. Fortunately, we were allowed to leave our luggage, even though our rooms weren’t ready yet. There was a secure main door to an apartment common area, and additional secured doors to the individual rooms. Everything was very clean and seemed well-maintained. The room was very quiet and the bed was quite comfortable. We had very good experience with A Casa Mia, a restaurant right next door. Our efforts at wandering around the area for other dining/shopping options were futile and frustrating. The apartment was very close to the access point for cruise ships, which is why we were in Civitavecchia in the first place. We would recommend the property as a no-frills, super convenient pre-cruise stopover.

If you are looking for an overnight stay when cruising the next day, this is the place to be. We booked this place last minute and cancelled our previous hotel booking as we wanted to be close to largo dela pace (where the cruise shuttles are). Thank goodness we did it.

We had to carry (4) 50 lb bags to the floor. 70 years old & difficult. This place required too many document pics to get access. I had a room reserved towards the water & reserved this place. If you are young.. go for it. A nice hotel? Somewhere else.
