"I love the Marlton. The rooms are small and it’s expensive but I guess that’s just New York for ya!"

"The staff are all extremely friendly, the hotel is beautiful decorated, and you can’t beat the location. You are directly across from Washington square park and walking distance to so many restaurants, bars, and comedy shows. Hotel also offers an airport shuttle for a flat fee. Hotel rooms are basic but clean. Only down side was the shower. The pressure isn’t great (but maybe that was just our room). Otherwise, we were happy with our stay!"

"Arrived pretty late to my reservation and the older lady at the front desk made me feel pretty dumb about my reservation and had an attitude while I was checking in. It wasn’t welcoming at all. Then after dragging my heavy bag upstairs with my other guests the key didn’t work. And that happens sometimes but the hospitality just wasn’t there. She had an attitude anytime I asked a question. "The room is very small. There is no walking space between the bed and the wall in front of it, it's surrounded by wall on three sides. This I could overlook being that New York is very expensive. However, I have stayed at other hotels in similar price range with bigger rooms, better amenities, and better cleanliness. "Hotel hits all the 5 star spots apart from 2 points. 1 - the rooms are not soundproof at all, and being able to hear the conversations in the room next door so clear that i could repeat what they were saying is not what i would expect. Second - the front desk staff are not as polished and committed to the level of service i would expect from a top end 5 star hotel. Doormen were top class. All in all it's a good hotel, but with so much choice in NY, i have stayed in better."

"Very tired and broken room. Furniture falling apart, old yellowed wallpaper, some plug sockets didnt work. The noise from the service lift was audible in the room. There was a nespresso machine, but two odd sized cups with no saucers nor teaspoons. THE LIFTS ARE BADLY BROKEN, QUEUES ARE HORRENDOUS TO GET TO AND FROM YOUR ROOM.
