"Everything about Balmoral was awesome except one thing. Loud music playing until 11:50pm, so the kids couldn't sleep. I tried to say something and they said it would be over by 11:30pm but it wasn't. It was a shame given the price you pay. Otherwise though, people were lovely, breakfast was great, they had a cute Easter hunt with a prize at the end. Swimming pool was good."

"Can't say enough good things about this property. It looked absolutely new with upgrades. Super clean and well equipped. We stayed in a large studio suite with Castle View. You are a short few minutes walk from the Royal Mile and Victoria Street or Greyfriar Bobby's in the opposite direction. Less stairs and uphill on this side of town as well. We had a fantastic anniversary stay. Can't recommend enough!"

"We enjoyed our stay at The Resident as it was well located to what we had planned and the staff was quite pleasant. However, as far as value - we felt the room to be small for the price paid. We also felt the bathroom tub was quite dangerous to get in and out of — as one had to step very far up and INTO it without a bar to hold or a proper door. "First class treatment here, and exceptionally accommodating with an early checkin for us weary travellers. All the facilities you could want, very nice roof top terrace to enjoy the view. Refreshingly reasonable in room mini bar. Importantly the hotel is superbly located and they deliver service in line with a top class establishment. Well done!!"

"We were in the attic room on the 9th floor. The room was massive and the big bed comfortable. We had 3 windows each with upholstered double bench seats in front of them. The bathroom was big also but a little dark. The AC worked as it should and warmed or cooled the room very quickly.
