"The location was perfect, a very welcoming atmosphere in all areas, lots of banter with the staff who were all amazing. The breakfast was first class as were our evening meals. Beautiful outdoor area, grounds kept to a high standard. Looking forward to returning."

"A lovely overnight stay at the Grange Country House. We received a lovely welcome from Michael, he was very informative and helped us to get settled in quickly. He gave us a tour and explanation of where everything was and about breakfast. The room was perfect, very clean and excellent condition. The breakfast was delicious the next morning and everyone that worked there was smiling and helpful. We will be staying again. "

"We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions. We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....

"Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"

"Lovely welcome at check in. This is more of a guest house style than a modern ‘hotel’ and has decor/styling that reflects this, but all areas were very clean and tidy. "We had a lovely stay at Woodlands Country House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great base to explore the wonderful Lake District and surrounds. Daryl and Naomi are great hosts.
