"We loved our recent stay at Sivana Tulum! This is a very small unique hotel, with a small staff, limited amenities, and a fabulous location. If you are looking for an all inclusive luxury experience, look elsewhere. That is not what Sivana Tulum is about. Each room here is unique, with a rustic feeling that is part of its charm - It feels like Tulum before Tulum was discovered by the rest of the world. In most rooms AC is available only at night, but we did not miss it- our room stayed nice and cool anyway, with breezes coming off the ocean. And Sivana's beach location can't be beat. Despite the crowds nearby, it feels very private. Also, it accumulates minimal sargasso compared to other locations we visited on the beach, which is a nice perk!"

"My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Coyote. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, and the honey-scented bath products were a lovely bonus. Just outside our room, we were surrounded by untouched jungle—an incredible setting where we spotted colorful birds and even a wild coati. Having access to a secure, guarded parking area for our rental car, along with beach access at a neighboring resort, truly elevated the experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive, always quick to assist with any questions we had. We’re already looking forward to returning—and next time, bringing friends along with us!"

"Raccoons had access to your room from the rooftop since it was made out of tree palms leaves, no one cleaned room from previous stay as the sheets were dirty and dead bugs were within the linen. No refreshing of towels while staying there for 5 days. At night the raccoons were on the rooftop and broke a whole in the palm leaves. "

"My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Malca. While the property may lack some of the amenities of other hotels on Tulum Beach Rd., Casa Malca features artworks from the renowned collector Lio Malca’s personal collection in the hotel and around the grounds, so it’s a must for art enthusiasts. Additionally, the staff are all extraordinary, addressing us by name and attending to every detail of our stay."

"Very disappointing stay I stayed at Casa Gitano after booking through Expedia. Our room had a serious bug problem with numerous insects inside. The bugs were everywhere on our clothes. The sink in our room was clogged, and staff had to come fix it. Shortly after, the hot water stopped working, and we were left having to use cold water. The pool was extremely dirty with sand and debris floating on the surface, and we were told it would take several days to clean, which they should have taken measures for before guests arrived. The experience was extremely disappointing."

"This wonderful spot and we had a fantastic time. The cabins are clean, beds and sheets are soft and the beach is spectacular. The food and service is excellent. It’s different than your typical vacation spot. By the time we left the staff and other guests felt like friends and family. And there are cats!! "
