"The staff were very welcoming and as this is a pub the bar was very good. I had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. My room was of a good standard but could only be reached by stairs. All in all I had a good experience and would use The White Hart in Future. Just to add there is plenty of parking behind the pub. Do remember to log in on the many tablets available."

"My third stay here whilst on business in the area. My wife and I had also eaten here a couple of weeks back whilst in the area, as we always do. Archie was very friendly and helpful at check in, as was his colleague behind the bar ( sorry ! I didn’t catch her name). I was in the Belle Suite this time, the room was lovely with all the amenities you’d expect - including a fridge, coffee machine and spacious, clean bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and once people and cars turning up or leaving the pub / restaurant had quietened down, a lovely quiet night. I’ll be staying again in a few weeks, this place never disappoints. Sitting by the river in the sunshine with a drink after my 4 hour drive was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you for another lovely stay. Dave RS"

"Very clean. Incredibly helpful staff. Fun check-in experience at the bus, definitely different than your typical hotel. However, the room felt a bit cramped, and small. And there were unnecessary appliances like a fan (not needed in October) and a couple of lamps occupying half of the only table. Still, it was well taken care of, and the restaurant had delicious food. I would recommend for a different quirky stay."

"The staff were very helpful and lovely, me and my friends stayed here for reading festival and they were very supportive in accommodating us. The self cater kitchen is lovely and includes everything you would need, the lounge is a nice quiet area to relax and the rooms were decent for a youth hostel with clean bedsheets and bunkbeds! The area itself is lovely and quaint we were very happy to stay here especially since the train was only a 20 minute walk away."
