The staff was very rude and treated me. Like. I wasn't born here. And I know. They weren't. And I don't discriminate. It's was. A bunch of different things I didn't get to. Check in till 1 or 2 am then they wouldnt let me check in had to pay them cash after I already paid. And had a reservation I wouldnt go. Back.

Checked in and on our way to our room power went out and was locked in a corridor away from my child. When power was restored made it to room and when entering it had a terrible smell in the room. A person came up with a can of air freshener but it was a temporary fix. When we went to lock up for the night, the deadbolt will not engage and there is nothing available to barricade the door to prevent someone from coming in. Front desk wouldn’t answer when called 3x before finally heading down. Clerk was sitting in the dark on their headphones and I had to call out to get their attention. They were unable to do anything to fix the situation and were unwilling to either come up to check on the situation or offer a solution. Upon calling the manager, who said they couldn’t do anything about it and that I could address it the next day. This is day one of a 4 day stay. Knowing when we booked we were staying in a hotel that was undergoing renovations, I didn’t expect our safety to come in to question.

This hotel will be nicer once everything is complete but they are mid major renovations. The main entrance (which is the only one that opened without a key) was randomly blocked off due to them working on the front of the building. All of the other doors were locked and would not open even with our keycard. We had to wait outside for guests to come and let us in over 10 times during our stay (which took forever because nobody was staying there lol ). When we went to the pool we had the honor to walk down the plastic carpet, it was almost like a slip and slide when we left. The room was nice but the construction was a huge bummer and a major inconvenience. Staff was pleasant but didnt really acknowledge the massive construction taking place lol. The pool and hot tub were ok but could use a pressure washing, fresh coat of paint and some new lounge chairs… they had 2 fabric dining room chairs. The single occupant bathroom doors couldnt close (at all).
