"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. There was a continental style breakfast to help yourself to in the dining room which also had a tv. I enjoyed watching the planes coming into land at the airport. These...

Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.

"Excellent staff, great food and reasonable prices.
Good on site parking, lovely seating areas both inside and out and lots of entertainment. Busy venue with a nice friendly atmosphere. We came with friends and would all recommend the hotel and will stay again. "

"We couldn't fault anything. Staff we're friendly. We had an evening meal and breakfast both we're very good. We stayed in the Brewers Cottage a really lovely cosy room. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for the end of July."
"Reception and check-in were fine. Room was conveniently on second floor of main building so has easy access to pool/spa and restaurants.
Room was fine - standard fare. Very warm initially (had to have fan going half the night which disturbed sleep) but better second. Curtains didn't block out the light at top or bottom. Had view of canal which was nice, but looked straight out at pedestrian walkway to other block so had to keep nets closed.
Swimming pool was lovely (quiet at 3.00pm on Monday) and wish stay was longer to have checked out gym which looked well-equipped.
Service and food at Rialto Bar was excellent - quiet if you sit away from the large TV in the bar area.
Breakfast was also pretty standard - buffet hot buffet, limited cereal, limited pastries, limited yoghurts and fruit, limited juice. You would struggle if you wanted continental only and you get more choice at a Premier Inn. Was not offered coffee or tea refills either morning. Not the worst we've experienced - I guess okay for three stars.
Parking on site (secure car park opposite entrance, code controlled) @ £12.00 per day was valuable and reasonable.
Walk from hotel along canal got us to City Centre in 10 minutes which, with the parking, makes this an excellent site for those exploring the City"
"Convenient location but you need to pay attention for the turn in to the property, I found it difficult to see the correct entrance. Showing signs of wear particularly in the hallways. Staff were very helpful."
"The staff were friendly but very green, during an evening meal and breakfast we had to ask several times for things like water, coffee and toast and some of these things didn't arrive at all. They are pleasant but need more training on staying on top of orders and clearing the tables.
Breakfast is strange with you being charged £17 to have access to the continental and light breakfast menu, and then you having to pay an extra £5 for more premium items like a full English. Why not just say it will be £22 to begin with.
There was an event on at the hotel which lasted until midnight. We were told we couldn't move to another room and nothing but an apology was provided. Things like this need to be communicated at the point of booking or at least the point of check-in. The hotel should have forseen this and moved non event guests to the rooms furthest away from the ballroom.
The spa was nice but overcrowded. More loungers and chairs are needed for when the spa hits it's peak use hours."
